6am - 5.30pm. Last entry to Machu Picchu at 4pm.

Open everyday including public holidays, Christmas and New Year.

Maximum capacity 2500 visitors per day.

 

Types of Machu Picchu Entrance Tickets & Prices

 

Entrance ticket prices for 2016 shown below are for overseas visitors. Discounts are available for Peruvians and some South American nationals.

Adult S/128. (about US$43)

Student S/65. (about US$22)

 

Machu Picchu + Huayna Picchu Tickets

Ticket prices are in Peruvian soles, the amount in US dollars is based in US$1 = S/.3

Children under 8 years old enter for free and do not require an entrance ticket as long as they are accompanied by an adult and carry their passport. Children & teenagers between 8 and 17 years old receive a 50% discount and must carry their passports. Students over 18 years old receive a 50% discount and must take their passports and valid ISIC cards (International Student Identity Card).

Tickets prices have been taken from the government website www.machupicchu.gob.pe and were correct on 1st March 2016. Prices may be subject to change so please check the website for up-to-date information.

 

 

 

How to Buy Your Machu Picchu Tickets

 

 

The Machu Picchu entrance tickets can be bought by three methods:

 

  • Online using the government website www.machupicchu.gob.pe (website good for checking availability but often difficult to actually buy a ticket)
  • Buy a ticket with an authorized ticket agent.
  • Buy a ticket at the government office in Cusco.
